Are you looking for an opportunity to benefit from Volunteering?
Now is the time to get your name in to volunteer in the CWA cafeteria at Melbourne Royal Show.
Between Monday 18th September to Monday 2nd October 2023.
We are thrilled to be part of the Melbourne Royal’s 175 anniversary this year. There are so many members who haven’t had a chance to be part of the team to run this State Event. This year could be your first!
Helping at the show is unlike anything else we do; it is a rewarding atmosphere and there is a lot of joy in being part of the team that runs our largest fundraiser every year.
All sorts of jobs available, come and met old friends or make new ones, it’s fun, tiring at times but fun, and with a great sense of achievement. Not all positions require cooking experience, and it’s important that you understand that roles are flexible, and we take turns helping in the busy areas.
You do need to pack very comfortable supportive shoes, as you’ll be on your feet most of the day.
Accommodation is available at Umina. Meals are also provided.
You may say the dates you are available and your preferred area to work in, but I plan to be in touch with each one so I can have a spread of volunteers over the dates, and I will do my best to match your interests with our needs.
Bump-in and Bump-out are the technical terms for setting up and packing up!
Check your Working with Children card as you will need the number and expiry date to complete the form. Applying for a Working with Children check is easy online if you don’t already have one.
