Orbost Region is located on the delta of the Snowy River and is surrounded by the pristine natural beauty of several State and National Parks. It is within minutes of wild, un-spoilt beaches at Corringle, and is only a short drive away from the coastal community of Marlo which offers a wide range of ocean, river and estuarine activities.
Once a major timber hub, Orbost Region’s main role now is in the provision of support services for a broad ranging agricultural industry, as well as an expanding recreational tourism industry.
You can purchase tickets at any of the 3 gardens listed here where you will receive a ‘mud map’. Admission if $15.00 per person to visit 1, 2 or all three gardens. CASH ONLY payment please. – NO Efptos available
1: CHERIE AND GRAHAM YOUNG’S GARDEN
OPEN 10:00am – 3:00pm
138 Huxters Road, Jarrahmond (Orbost)
- 2-hectare farm garden. Fruit trees, roses, garden beds in flower and an abundance of beautiful birdlife.
- Devonshire Tea being served here together with baked goods, preserves and CWA food and gardening books.
- Plenty of off-road parking.
2: THE JARMAN FARM
OPEN 10:00am – 3:00pm
438 Jarrahmond Road, Jarrahmond (Orbost)
- A professionally landscaped, 7-acre hobby farm garden. Tabatha and Kevin are avid gardeners who loves Australian native plants and fruit trees.
- If a nice day, you can bring along your own food to eat.
- Parking on roadside & driveway (before 2nd gate).
- Toilets available in the farm-house.
3: BEV’S “FANTASY” GARDEN
OPEN 10:00am – 3:00pm
52 Salisbury Street, Orbost
- Eclectic garden with loads of colour and plenty to see.
- No Toilet. On-Street parking.
